PRO HOCKEY TESTING
Using Medical Grade Technology
Just like in the top professional hockey organizations around the world, we use research grade testing technologies to analyze each athlete throughout the program. Unlike some approaches to athlete testing, this tech breaks down sub components of composite movements so we can accurately understand where athletes needs to gain. This allows us to design the program to best suit athlete needs.

ATHLETE REPORTS
At Baseline, Mid Program and Exit
Track your progress with our athlete performance reports. Following each block of testing, the team will send out an update on how well the athlete is adapting to the prescribed programming. This is great feedback for the athlete but also helps the coaches stay on top on monitoring the development and workload.

PRECISION TRAINING
Tailored to Individual Development
"If you're not testing, you're just guessing"
This quote has become a centrepiece of what we do at Sport Science. Our approach to athlete development relies on knowing where the athlete is, understanding their deficits and strengths and leveraging expert coaching to make sure the athlete is pouring all their work and effort in the areas that will have the greatest impact on their game.

IN HOUSE DIETETICS
GET THE EDGE
Ashley Charlebois, Sport Dietician
BSc. Exercise Physiology, MSc. Dietetics
I worked with Ryan for four years with the Toronto Maple Leafs. During that time Ryan was tasked with the role of developing our injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies. His tireless work ethic and methodical approach led to the development of truly world leading protocols. The results of these were directly correlated with the incredible success of the team during his tenure. The team did not suffer a non-contact injury for three and a half seasons demonstrating the efficacy of Ryan’s multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach to athlete monitoring and proactive intervention. When an injury occurred the rehabilitation protocol included an unprecedented level of detail in which every possible physiological system was leveraged to ensure that the environment for healing was optimized in every way. To this end, we did not suffer any set-backs during the rehab process and never experienced a recurrence of an injury. I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of Ryan’s work.
