In Person Runner's Training (at Sport Science)
- Expertly designed and coached group training programs targeting improved performance and longevity for distance runners.
- New runners always welcome.
- Groups capped at 8 runners per coach.
- Training takes place in the state of the art, Sport Science Centre

OFFSEASON STRENGTH PROGRAM
Work the Richelle and the Sport Science Team to develop a personalized offseason strength and conditioning program (8 weeks) that will be designed to enhance your performance and to contribute to becoming a more robust and resilient athlete.
STEP 1 (Online - 10 min)
THE ATHLETE PROFILE
The process starts with an online questionnaire. We need to understand who you are as an athlete. We want to know what your goals are and what types of injuries or obstacles you might have faced in the past.
STEP 2 (In-Person 1hr)
SPORT SCIENCE TESTING EVENT
In order to prescribe the best possible exercise program, we need to identify key areas of strength and / or deficit that need to be addressed in the programming. The testing event will be lots of fun and will include the use of industry leading kinetic testing technologies.
STEP 3 (In-Person 2 x 1hr)
STRENGTH COACH PROGRAM REVIEW
Following the testing session, we will build your personalized program. To get the maximum possible gains in your training, you will get 2 sessions with a strength coach. During these 1 hr sessions, we will teach you the program and help you perfect all of its movements.

($190 can be covered by private benefits when prescribed by a physio)

Fuelled by her passion for marathon and ultra marathon running, Richelle Weeks has relentlessly explored the depths of current research and professional training so that she can specialize in running injury rehabilitation and performance. To that effect, Richelle has become passionate about supporting local runners in incorporating weight training as part of their regular programming. She excited to be offering 2, 8 week training programs to Ottawa Runners this Winter. She'd love for you to join!
Our lead coaches are responsible for the design, delivery and modification of your training programs. If you have any questions about the programming, don't hesitate to ask!

Our Sport Science Coordinators are here to help organize communication between your sport coaches and the programming here at Sport Science. If ever you need to miss a sessions, you are struggling with fatigue, injury etc. Send Kirsten a quick note and she will be happy to help trouble shoot and make sure you are keeping on the right track towards your season goals.

& PERSONAL TRAINING
Using research and technology previously reserved for pro and Olympic athletes, the Applied Sport Science Team can conduct a series of endurance running tests. These tests will highlight the areas of need to each registrant. These insights can support the development of individualized accessory workouts and the monitoring of individual athlete development.
